Tong's Kitchen at USJ 19 City Mall is a simple establishment serving yummy homemade dishes. It is great for a quick dinner without emptying your pawkets =P

There is a huge variety of dishes to choose from which is always a good thing.

Stir Fried Sweet Potato Leaves (RM 12) 

A simple dish stir fried with garlic, the sweet potato leaves were very young and fresh.

Pumpkin Beancurd (RM 8)

JS's family love the Pumpkin Beancurd here which is essentially deep fried beancurd braised in a savoury and creamy pumpkin gravy.

Chicken with Salted Eggs (RM 18)

The fried chicken was moist and juicy and the chef was very generous with the amount of salted egg yolk which totally enhanced the taste of the chicken.

Sweet and Sour Fish (RM 23)

The portion is huge with lots of deep fried fish slices coated in a sweet and sour sauce. Very yummy indeed.

No pork is served but I am not sure if the restaurant has a halal cert. Overall, Tong's Kitchen is a great place for inexpensive home cooked fare.

Lan Je Steamed Fish @ USJ 1, Subang Jaya

Lan Je is a famous household name for fresh steamed fish. The original Lan Je outlet is at Rawang which I thought exceptionally far but good news, it is so popular that it seems to have branched out to many places such as Kota Damansara, USJ and Cheras.

Famous Steamed Fish (RM 12 - Medium)

We had the famous steamed fish with bean paste, garlic, ginger and soy sauce. You can also opt for spicier versions where cili padi is added. This Chinese blend of flavouring helps rid the fish of any fishiness whilst retaining the sweetness of the flesh. As Lan Je specialises in steamed fish, you are guaranteed of the freshest fish possible, the flesh firm, white and naturally sweet. The appetising sauce itself is a very good accompaniment with rice.

Choi Dam with Fried Anchovies

The Choi Dam aka brussel sprouts were average but the addition of deep fried mini anchovies really helped alleviate the taste.

We will definitely return since the shop is within familiar grounds and the fish is good =D

Pizza Uno @ Centrepoint, PJ

Pizza Uno is a reasonably priced Italian joint serving good quality pastas and pizzas well worth the price tag. I went there a while ago with my brother but unfortunately, I only have pictures of what he ordered.
    

Gigantic curry puff (RM 24)

He had a Calzone which came looking like a giant curry puff. The moment we cut into it, a huge puff of steam escaped (so be sure never to put your face over it as you cut the Calzone) and the expanded pizza quickly deflated to look like the above picture which is rather a disappointing size.
   
It is a very cheesy half pizza with turkey ham, mushrooms and tomato based sauce. The dough is unlike the usual pizza dough, rather it tastes more like tortilla bread / naan sort of dough. The filling is extremely cheesy and rather salty but still yummy.

Sin Leong Huat @ Subang Hi-Tech

Located deep in the heart of Kampung Subang (waaaaaaaaaaay down the road from USJ 3A), Sin Leong Huat is a typical Chinese restaurant where one can enjoy cheap and hearty fare served in a jiffy.

  

Stir Fried Four Vegetables in Sambal

    
This is a common dish but I love it so much - brinjal, bitter gourd, long bean and four-angled bean stir-fried in spicy sambal. It goes superbly well with rice.

  

Pork Ribs

   
The Pork Ribs are a must order! I envisioned it to be tough and difficult to scrape the meat off the bones as is typical of ribs but this one came with such tender meat that it was just falling off the bone. The portion was huge with lots of succulent meat with a good balance between lean and fat. The sauce added to the juiciness of the ribs.

  

Butter Prawns (Small - RM 25)

    
Bad choice to order the Butter Prawns as the owner took the opportunity to squeeze us dry. A handful of prawns for RM 25? O.O To their credit, it was yummy with crisp batter and still juicy meat.
